CA Senate Sends Indoor Tanning Law to Governor

Senate Bill 746 would ban kids under 18 and be first in the nation.

The California Senate has approved and sent to Governor Jerry Brown, Senate Bill 746, which would ban children under 18 from using indoor tanning beds. Co-sponsored by AIM at Melanoma and the California Society of Dermatology & Dermatological Surgery, SB 746 would replace the current law, which requires 14-17 year olds to obtain parental permission to use a tanning bed.
